University of Gothenburg Axel Adler Scholarship Details:

The Axel Adler Scholarship 2025 is a tuition fee waiver awarded to students enrolled in international Master’s or Bachelor’s programs at the University of Gothenburg.

This scholarship is funded by the Adlerbertska Scholarship Foundation, the Adlerbertska Grant Foundation, and the Swedish Council for Higher Education (UHR).

Scholar selection is primarily based on the applicant’s qualifications in relation to their chosen study program.

Eligibility Requirements for the University of Gothenburg Scholarship 2025

To be eligible for the University of Gothenburg Axel Adler Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

•Be required to pay tuition fees in Sweden.

•Apply to an international campus-based program at the University of Gothenburg as their first priority.

•Submit their application for studies by 15 January 2025 and pay the application fee, as well as document eligibility for studies, by 3 February 2025 through universityadmissions.se.

  • Scholarships cover the tuition fee of the programme you are admitted to.
  • It is a tuition fee waiver only; no additional financial support for living expenses or travel grants are provided.

Required Documents:

To apply for the University of Gothenburg Scholarship 2025, candidates must be ready to submit the following documents;

  • CV and Letter of Motivation
  • When applying for the Axel Adler Scholarship, you must include a CV and a Letter of Motivation as written text. These are used for the selection of scholars.
  • In the motivational letter, you can highlight the merits from your CV. It is not possible to attach any other form of documentation to your scholarship application. 
  • Academic staff make the assessment and ranking, based on the CV and Motivation letter in your scholarship application.
  • The assessment is made in collaboration with the assessment of your application to the study program, to determine your suitability for the program as well as your commitment and desire to study.  
  • There is one scholarship awarded for each program. 
  • There is an exception for Master’s programs in Fine Arts, Crafts, and Design and programs in Music and Performance which will be awarded a total of four scholarships for all programs.

1. Apply for Admission: First, apply for an eligible Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program at the University of Gothenburg through universityadmissions.se. Ensure that the program is listed as your first priority.

2. Receive Application Instructions: Students who meet the requirements and have applied to a program at the University of Gothenburg as their first priority will receive an email with application instructions for the Axel Adler Scholarship around February 11, 2025.

3. Check Your Email: The invitation to apply for the Axel Adler Scholarship will be sent to the email address registered on your universityadmissions.se account. Be sure to check both your inbox and spam folder.

4. Contact the University if Needed: If you meet the eligibility criteria but have not received an email by February 11, 2025, please contact the university at scholarships@gu.se.
