Eligibility Criteria for the York University Presidential International Scholarship:
To be eligible for the York University Presidential International Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements.
The applicant:
- must be an international student requiring a Study Permit to study in Canada.
- must apply to an undergraduate degree program at York University beginning in Fall 2025.
- must apply directly from high school within two years of graduation and have no prior university or college experience (not applicable to the Tentanda Via Award).
- must have an outstanding academic record, with a minimum “A” average or equivalent (where applicable).
- must demonstrate leadership through community service or excellence in areas such as arts, sports, or other individual achievements (where applicable).
- must upload one letter of recommendation or other relevant supporting documents.
- must ensure all required documents are marked as “Received” in the York application portal (MyFile) by February 15, 2025, at 11:59:59 PM, Eastern Time.
- must complete and submit the online International Student Scholarship Application by February 15, 2025, at 11:59:59 PM, Eastern Time.
- must meet a minimum 80% (“A”) final admission average to be considered.
- should know that financial need may be considered during the selection process.
