Additional points to note:
Study gap from high school graduation must not exceed 5 years.
You must have completed 12th Grade or be a graduating batch by the time of application.
If you are a graduating batch (12th Grade), you are required to get letter from the your school about your expected graduation date, and transcript so far.
- For language proficiency, DUOLINGO &/or MOI (medium of instruction) Certificate are accepted by some universities, but either IELTS or TOEFL is preferred.

You must have finished your bachelor’s degree or be in your final year while applying for your master’s study.
You need to clear any outstanding fees from previous studies and submit official student transcripts.
Graduating students should obtain a letter from their university confirming their expected graduation date and GPA.

General Information About Studying In Italy
Application Steps for Italian University Admission:
1. Choose Program and Submit Documents:
– Select your preferred program and submit required application documents listed above.
2. Payment and Agreement:
– Pay the service fee and sign an agreement.
3. Online Exam or Interview:
– If required, pass an online exam or attend an interview with the university.
4. Receive Acceptance Letter and Pre-Enrollment Certificate:
– Obtain your acceptance letter and pre-enrollment certificate.
5. Legalize and Translate Documents:
– Authenticate your documents and translate them into Italian.
6. Schedule Embassy Appointment:
– Arrange a meeting at the Embassy of Italy.
7. Prepare for Visa Interview:
– Complete further document legalization at the Embassy of Italy and schedule your visa interview.
Fullfill the following Documents (both original + copy):
- Valid passport with remaining validity of at least three months and two blank pages.
- One recent color passport-size photograph (3.5 cm x 4.0 cm), with light background,
- Round-trip air booking;
- Final qualification in original secondary education with at least 12 years of schooling, or substitute certificate for all legal purposes.
- Certificate attesting to the passing of academic suitability tests, incase required.
- Other documentation related to the verification of the veracity of the foreign (non-Italian) degree;
- A summary of the pre-enrollment application made on UNIVERSITALY as validated by the institution of higher education.
- Bank statement of 380,000 ETB in one’s own name or in name of parents.
- Suitable housing in the national territory:
- Adequate insurance coverage for medical treatment and hospitalization–> schengen Travel Insurance
- FULFILLMENTS UPON ARRIVAL IN ITALY:
Within eight working days of arriving in Italy on a Type D “national” visa for STUDY (university enrollment), applicants must apply for a residence permit for study.
- Accommodation: single occupancy may cost around €300-€400 per month, while shared ones could be €200-€250 per month.
- Utility costs depend on your lifestyle, but it averages around €450/month.
- Some universities do have pocket money amounting 6000-8000 euros /year for international students.
