Documents Required to apply to a Turkish university
- Passport valid for at least 1 year.
- High School Transcript (Grade 9-12)
- Grade 12 National Exam Certificate
- Recent passport-size photo.
- Medium of instruction (MOI)
- NB: All academic documents must be authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia
- Passport valid for at least 1 year.

- Student copy/transcript
- English proficiency certificate or Medium of instruction (MOI).

About Visa & Application
To study in Turkey, you must obtain a student visa from the Turkish Republic Consulate, which is valid for 90 days. During this time, you are not allowed to travel in and out of the country until you have obtained a residence permit in Turkey.
Once you have arrived in Turkey and completed your university registration, the next crucial step is to apply for a residence permit. With your residence card and foreign identification number, which you receive after your application, you can conduct all formal transactions while staying in Turkey.
If your residence card is still valid, it can be used for entry and exit from Turkey, eliminating the need for a new visa. It’s essential to renew your residence permit before it expires to ensure continuous validity.
Application Requirements for a Study Visa in Turkey:
• A passport with a minimum validity of 6 months
• Duly completed and signed Turkish student visa application form
• 2 recent passport-size photographs
• Official letter of acceptance from the university
• Confirmed flight reservations to Turkey
• Documentation demonstrating adequate financial means to sustain your studies and living expenses in Turkey
• Payment of the visa processing fee
• Confirmation of accommodation arrangements in Turkey
• Academic certificates or diplomas from previous education institutions
Application process:
- Choose your desired university and course.
- Submit scanned copies of all required application documents to us.
- Pay processing/ application fee and sign an Agreement.
- Await a conditional acceptance letter from the university.
- Upon receiving the acceptance letter, you may need to pay an admission fee, part of the tuition fee, or a deposit to the school’s account.
- Once the payment is made to the university account, you will receive the official acceptance document necessary for visa application.
- Prepare all required visa application documents and apply for a visa at the visa center of Turkey in Addis Ababa
- You can find the Turkish visa center in Bole, next to Millennium Hall, at SNAP Plaza.
- Fly to Turkey to commence your classes.
